1. Choosing a Product – When selecting a product for selling using PPC there are several things to consider. For example it is better to chose an electronic product because the buyer can purchase and receive it immediately. Next thing is to chose an affiliate network that can manage product distribution, commissions and support for refunds etc. There are many like Clickbank and Commission Junction, but Clickbank is the easiest to start with (can be set up in 5 minutes) and is extremely popular. Make sure that the vendor that is selling the product through Clickbank is affiliate friendly and provides great support. Make sure that the product they are selling is popular and sold by other affiliates. This sounds counter intuitive but it is vital that you select products that are already popular. Why? Because they are proven to make money.
2. Domains – When selling someone’s product you have a choice of directly linking to their sales page or using your own domain and then redirecting. Direct linking is useful for testing but will not be as profitable unless you use your own domain. Search engines like Google, Bing etc prefer you to have your own domain and web site which then links to the vendor’s sales page.

Believe it or not, all SEO’s were newbies at one time or another. Launching a website can be a very exciting event for an individual or new business owner. However, that excitement can quickly turn to disappointment when the site owner finds out that they are getting little or no traffic. If they are getting traffic, it is most likely coming from family members or friends who they notified through an email or Facebook.

Being involved in SEO and marketing in general, I am usually bombarded by family members and friends with questions about marketing their website or their future website on the Internet. Because of this and my willingness to help just about anyone I know, you can usually find me in a small dark corner at a family party (it has to be small and dark because my wife gets ticked when I’m not up and socializing with everyone), on the phone in the car, or answering an email, Facebook message, or Twitter message about SEO and other internet marketing tactics.

I was on a call yesterday with one of my best friends from high school. Our conversation was focused on general search engine optimization principles and link building tactics that could provide a good foundation and hopefully, if he does them right, some strong rankings in the search engines. new interesting SEO reports in Google Analytics. I realized that the data, provided by the filter, had given me some new opportunities. It wasn’t possible in Google Analytics to get good SEO related reports. The reports I did get were these:

* An overview of keywords during a specific period and (after clicking) the landings page on which visitors landed after clicking on the Google result.
* An overview of the ‘Entrance Keywords’ of a specific page.

I wanted more and figured the SEO filter from André would give me the information I needed. The filter linked webpages to the Google result page (where 0 is the first page, 10 the second page, etc). A very nice filer, but I wanted more!
